So I am off to Seattle what to do?

I am travelling from the UK to attend Mozcon (its an SEO conference in Seattle) and thought I would do a bit of sightseeing before.

I was actually planning on staying for a good few days after, but my wife is due 2 weeks later with our second child and didn’t want to miss it. So instead I am flying out on the Friday, exploring Seattle on the weekend and then going to the conference and exploring the night life Monday – Wednesday and then flying back on Thursday, so it leaves me two full days to explore the city and there is a lot I want to do.

So first of all – got to see a baseball game. I am not fan, but I do love my sports and love watching them live – you never know I might become a Mariners fan. So this is a must and looking like its going to be against the Los Angeles Eagels on the Saturday evening. Would love to have gone to see a NFL game, but it’s the wrong time of the year.

The good thing about Baseball, there are so many games its pretty cheap to actually get in.

As Starbucks was founded in Seattle it’s a must visit really, I don’t even like coffee but I can’t go half way around the world and not visit the home of Starbucks.

So I will go to Starbucks – but will get a Hot Chocolate of some of there other drinks, got to get a photo in there.

Space Needle

One of the skylines most recognisable land marks is on the list. Whilst I don’t think I will have time to eat up there. I do want to at least go up for the observation deck. Thinking of getting the ticket which will allow me to go up twice. Once during the daylight and once at night. Its an extra $10 more but I may never go back to Seattle, with so much of the world to see.

Also on Sunday I am thinking of visiting the Olympic Sculpture Park for a few hours of exploring.

So Saturday is Starbuck followed by the baseball game. Then on Sunday The Space Needle and a visit of the Olympic Sculpture Park.

This leaves a few hours spare on both days to add a few other items in, so if you have visited Seattle and have a few tips on where to visit please feel free to comment below.
