So you want to go camping this summer with your mates. While most campsites don’t allow you stay as a group of mates, and while on some family campsites we can understand this, but this doesn’t mean you can’t go camping. You just need to do a little bit more research.  Just in case you don’t we have done it for you and put together the 10 best places in the UK that are willing to accept groups. A site based in East Sussex, which as well as allowing groups also allows campfires, which is great for sitting around and catching up with your mates.

With prices from just £6pppn, this is an ideal getaway with your friends. Set in Norfolk the site can accommodate large groups and allows for BBQs and Campfires to all get-together and have fun. Set inside woodland there is plenty to do and explore

Penrallt Coastal Camping – Gwyneed

While this is a lovely site to visit with friends it does only really allow small groups, so if there are a lot of you, please check when booking. Great site if you want to visit North Wales.

As well as being based on the beautiful island of Scilly, this great little campsite allows camp fires but is great for water sports. The site is on the beach and is a must visit.

This site is close to two nearby beaches and the ruins of Corfe Castle, ideal for a bit of sightseeing.

North Lodge – Pembrokeshire This campsite, set within the Welsh countryside is overlooking the Preseli Mountains. The site as well as being friendly run is organically and sustainably.

This amazing site, situated in the Hampshire is great for groups. It’s family friendly campsite is very popular is advised to book in advance.

  1. Siblyback Lake Country Park, Cornwall – 01579 346522

Siblyback Lake Country Park, Cornwall As well as being located in the beautiful county of Cornwall, this is an ideal group get away, and that includes stag and hen do’s. The site has all the water sports you can think of, so as well as having a great time with your mates, you can try something new.

This site is just 10 miles from the coasts, but more importantly just 15 miles from Newquay, so ideal if you and your friends want to try to catch a wave or two. While the site does allow group bookings, it doesn’t have a Pub on site. It does have a shop, which sells alcohol, but with your only 15 miles from Newquay four of you in a cab, it isn’t going to cost a lot to get there.

Plus there is loads of great fishing lakes and golf courses for all abilities nearby so plenty to do during the day.

As well as being located in the beautiful Cornwall, this site is ideal for group bookings. Depending on the numbers going, the organiser can stay for free, no whether or not you chose to pass the saving onto everyone and you pay your fair share, or you get a free holiday we will let you chose that, but there is plenty to do.

Depending on weather and availability there is a 100+ marquee, which has a fully licensed bar. Onsite Pizza takeaway, ideal if you want to relax and enjoy your holiday and not spend it cooking. Wifi available for sharing those amazing photo’s, or untagging yourself from those embarrassing photo’s before your parents see them.

Campfires are permitted (in certain areas) so get the fire lit and drinks flowing. Also if you are one of those that requires a battery in your phone at all time, or need to have the perfect hairstyle, don’t worry you can even get electric hook ups.
